Goose is designed to be a iron sulfide dissolver for use in sour systems. It forms stable, water soluble complexes with iron sulfide and will not release hazardous hydrogen sulfide gas in the process. Once dissolved, Goose will not release the iron sulfide and will not cause water injection problems.
This product can be used anywhere where there is the potential for iron sulfides to form, including gas wells, vessels, crude oil tanks, asphalt tanks, sour water tanks, API separators, marine tankers and barges, portable tanks and IBC’s, flare stacks and vessels in sour service such as coke drums, distillation columns, inlet separators, pig receivers/launchers.

Sour systems contain significant levels of hydrogen sulfide which, when coupled with corrosion byproducts, can generate iron bearing scale deposits (combination of pyrite, porrhotite, marcasite, mackinawite, etc).
